Scripture that has been speaking to me lately

These are some of Scripture passages/verses that have kept coming up recently. I am thankful that we are justified before God through faith alone apart from works; and that even faith itself is a gracious gift given to God's children so that they believe on Christ.



"For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified."
(Romans 8:29-30)


"For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."
(1 Corinthians 1:18)


"So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy."
(Romans 9:16)


"But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. "Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation."
